o you have teenagers that are showing signs of depression, anxiety, or anger? Are you worried about your teenager’s life choices and emotional health? Have you discovered that your relationship with your teenager is not as strong as you would like it to be?
I take a relationship focused approach to therapy with teenagers because at this time in their life the people they need the most is their family. Teenagers want to belong and will often seek out this sense of belonging in the wrong places. This doesn’t mean that you as a parents have failed at parenting, it means your child is extra needy in this stage of life and I can work together with you and your child to help you bond meaningfully and address the areas of life in which your teenager is experiencing pain.
When working with a teenager, I also have sessions with the parent so we can explore ways for you, the parent to strengthen your relationship with your child.
At the end of the day, I won’t be in your life or your Teenager’s life forever. I am a big believer that we want to build and establish the support structure for you and your teenager to thrive without me.
I have over 10 years of experience working with teenagers and youth. I specialize in working with teenagers on issues of depression, anxiety, school trauma, trauma, anger, and relationship issues with family and friends.
