Anxiety

Chronic anxiety is a heavy burden to carry and can really cripple a person’s ability to enjoy the fullness of life; to be able to engage in activities they would otherwise enjoy doing, to have peace of mind, to complete tasks, and to experience the relationships that they have always wanted. If you are gripped by anxious thoughts and want to improve your relationships and quality of life, we would be honored to work with you.

Anxiety is rooted in insecurity; sometimes due to legitimate fears and concerns and at other times due to inaccurate perceptions of reality. Whatever your reasons for feeling anxious, there is hope. You can overcome the anxiety. In therapy sessions, we will look at the roots of your anxiety and help you develop a plan of action that is both doable and meaningful for you.

Some strategies that we can use to reduce anxiety are increased positive relationships with other people, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), relaxation and grounding exercises, and exposure therapy.
